Description: Common Data Elements (CDEs) are used for data capturing and reporting at NCI CBIIT to facilitate data aggregation. The Cancer Data Standards Registry and Repository (caDSR) is a database and a set of APIs and tools for CDEs. The CDE Browser is a web-based tool designed as the public interface to the caDSR.

Course 1020: Using the CDE Browser teaches learners how to search, view, export, compare and evaluate common data elements (CDEs) using the CDE Browser. This includes: the key search features and paradigms, how to navigate the browser tree, how to focus a search using some of the advanced features and filters, how to set search preferences for each session and how to interpret and examine search results. Course instruction and real world scenarios facilitate understanding of the CDE Browser's functionality.
