Stuart Turner, Grace Stafford, Hua Min, Larry Wright, Rick Kiefer, Troy Bleeker, Mike Riben, Riki Ohira

  • Stuart went through the agenda and discussion from yesterday's meeting
  • They reviewed the OMV Core metadata
  • Briefly discussed Hua's work on ISO 19763-3 standard
  • Planning to discuss CTS2 next week and the progress for that
    • Will review content sent out by Stuart
    • Current version using Z model, table comparing CTS2 and OMV metadata (similar to the activity this group did)
    • Mind map
  • Grace is working on Resource Identifiers
    • How are we handling registries?
    • At yesterday's call Stuart Bell asked what the difference is between a registry and repository? A: Stuart turner answered it by defining repository by a place to store data and is often a canonical source with a single URI or IRI and a repository has a registry. A registry can live on its own and contain nothing, but just have pointers to information, similar to a directory (which may not have any rigid requirements around metadata and workflow of use).
    • Need to specify URI from IRI and URL, URM, etc
  • Collaboration section would be done by Stuart Turner and Stuart Bell (NCRI) and Trish Whetzel (NCBO)
    • Metadata (FOAF and SIOC)
    • Community
  • We will plan to have presentations for the different sections at these meetings and collaboration is the largest and may need to be broken out into the different sections and may require at least 2 sessions
