Setting Up Security Questions

In order to use the Password Change Station to unlock your account or reset a forgotten caDSR password, you must set up three security questions. The answers to these questions must challenge you to confirm your identity. To set up your security questions:

  • You must know your current Login ID and Password.
  • Your password is not expired.
  • Your account is not locked.

Unlocking Your Account

If your account is locked, you must unlock it with the Password Change Station or wait one hour until the account automatically unlocks your account.

Security Question and Answer Tips

Select questions and enter answers that are personal to you, difficult for someone to guess, and ones you can answer reliably, the same way every time. The answers are case-sensitive, so if you select the question What street did you grow up on?, the following are four different answers due to the variations in punctuation and capitalization:

  • Main St.
  • Main St
  • MAIN ST
  • Main Street

Answering Incorrectly

You are given multiple chances to answer a question correctly. If you answer incorrectly too many times, you will be locked out of the caDSR Password Change Station and will have to contact NCI Application Support for assistance.
