Tool Overview
The cgMDR (Cancer Grid Metadata Repository) was developed by the UK Cancer Grid to provide a framework for supporting a light weight ISO 11179 standards metadata repository. cgMDR has tools enabling semantic annotation from its own metadata repository but also can resolve metadata and terminologies from remote metadata resources such as the caDSR and EVS. NCI CBIIT efforts enhance the cgMDR for a specific purpose as explained in the release notes. The cgMDR can be used with the CBIIT Excel Addin and MS Excel Template to annotate and bulk load caDSR content. See the caDSR Bulk Loader wiki page for details.
