NCI CBIIT Web Pages Introduction --------------------------- The National Biomedical Imaging Archive (NBIA) provides access to in vivo images. The goal of the NBIA is to provide the cancer research community, industry, and academia with access to an imaging data archive that will assist in the development and validation of analytical software tools supporting: lesion detection and classification, accelerated diagnostic imaging decision throughput, and quantitative imaging assessment of drug response. The repository aims to provide access to imaging resources that will improve the use of imaging in today’s cancer research and practice by: increasing the efficiency and reproducibility of imaging supporting cancer detection, improving the accuracy of imaging supporting cancer diagnosis, leveraging imaging to provide an objective assessment of therapeutic response, and ultimately enabling the development of imaging resources that will lead to confident clinical decisions in patient care. * https://imaging.nci.nih.gov/ Release History ------------------------ * NBIA v4.3 -- October 2009 * NBIA v4.2.2 -- September2009 * NBIA v4.2.1 -- June 2009 * NBIA v4.2 -- May 2009 * NCIA v4.1 -- December 2008 * NCIA v4.0 -- October 2008 * NCIA v3.7 -- August 2008 * NCIA v3.5 -- April 2008 * NCIA v3.0 -- February 2008 * NCIA v2.4 -- November 2007 Highlights of Defects and Features Addressed in This Release ------------------------------------------------------------ * A Download Manager, a new Java WebStart application that downloads images to your local drive in an unzipped format. It does not limit the download data size, and also allows users to pause and resume downloads at any time. * A Dynamic Search capability, which allows users to construct queries against additional DICOM tags related to collections, patients, studies, image series, and images. * A Submission Reports Tool, an administration tool which allows site administrators to generate multiple historical reports, including reports on image submissions for a certain date range. * Enhancements to the GUI installer, which allows users to install different components (Web App, Grid service, and CTP) on different physical systems. Features and defects addressed in This Release ---------------------------------------------- 19440 Create dynamic search form for all DICOM tag in NCIA model. 20085 Create a download client for large download 20654 Redesign Verify Submission 21059 Create the folder under FTP root location during FTP download 21516 Guest account login should be consistented through regular login and search link 23299 Allow installing different components on different physical system 23300 Allow public user add more than 3GB data into data basket. 23322 Remove "Upload Curation Spreadsheet" function and "Add keyword Criteria" function 23344 Deploy NBIA grid data service to JBoss instead of Tomcat 21279 Annotation file received in NCIA is not indicated in Verify Submission result. 15286 Verify Submission Tool Get Proxy Error 14403 Verify Submission Tool Gives Incorrect Results 21969 Blank page after downloading data in IE v7.0 but not in FF v3.0. Known Issues/Defects ------------------------ 1. IE8 will not be supported for this release. 2. 21263 Issue with deleting files from data basket during the download. Download will not be successful. 3. 21294 Visualize Image button should not displayed for subjects from remote node. 4. 21732 DICOM tag[0008,0008] is not stored in NBIA correctly. Only the first section is stored. See the GForge tracker for the latest use cases (implemented and deferred), existing open defects, community requests, resolutions and feature requests.
