SYNOPSIS: Researchers at Emory University, in collaboration with investigators at the University of Virginia, Henry Ford Hospital, and Thomas Jefferson Hospital, have been working to develop the Visually Accessible Rembrandt Images (VASARI) feature set, a standardized set of qualitative imaging features used to describe high-grade gliomas. Dr. Gutman will discuss current efforts to validate these data sets and present preliminary work on the use of imaging descriptors to stratify patients into subgroups with differential survival or genetic characteristics. Finally, Dr. Gutman will discuss emerging work to develop and validate 3-D, a volumetric-based quantitative assessment of brain tumors. Session details ... |
