  1. Consider where to install the Metadata Utility. Study and assay templates are not transferable to another computer. 
  2. Visit the Shared File List page. 

  3. Log in to the CSSI DCC Portal, as described in Logging In to the CSSI DCC Portal. 

  4. Select Investigations > Upload. The Upload ISA Archives page appears.

  5. Scroll down to the tabs below the list of folders and select the Metadata Utility tab. 
  6. Click the link for your operating system and download the file. From that page, download the appropriate file for your operating system:
  7. Windows: metadata-designer-win32-x64
    8. Mac: darwin-60-03-14-18.zip
  8. Extract all files from the zip file.
