  • If you need to move a large volume of data, you can do so using a Globus endpoint or an Amazon Web Services (AWS) S3 bucket. DME uses Globus allows you to use Globus or S3 for high performance transfer of large files. Endpoints are destinations that represent locations on a file transfer service server, such as gridftp. The following activities in DME require a Globus endpoint:

  • Registering multiple files
  • Downloading a collection of data files
  • Downloading multiple collections
  • Downloading a single file asynchronously
    • Downloading multiple files

     

  • You can choose whether to use the web application's graphical user interface (GUI) or Command Line Utilities (CLU).
