Before you can upload investigation data, you must register and then log in. For instructions, refer to Registering to Use the CSSI DCC Portal

You do not need to log in to browse, search, or download investigation data. For details, refer to What You Can Do in CSSI DCC

  1. Navigate to the CSSI DCC Portal. The home page appears.

  2. Click Login. The Please Sign In page appears.

  3. The remaining instructions depend on your account type:
      • If you have
      an NIH iTrust account, click NIH Login. The system evaluates your NIH account:
      • If you have never accessed the CSSI DCC portal before, the My Account page appears with your name and email address already specified. Specify your institution and click Update.
      • If you have accessed any other site via iTrust with your NIH account in the same browser session, the CSSI DCC portal home page appears.
      • Otherwise, the iTrust page appears. Provide your credentials as you would for any other iTrust-protected site.
      If you do not have an NIH iTrust account
      • institutional credentials (such as NIH) or Google credentials, click CILogon. Depending on various factors, the system might display one or more of the following prompts:
        • If a CILogon Consent to Attribute Release page appears, select an identity provider (such as National Institutes of Health or Google) and click Log On.
        • If an NIH Login - Information Release Consent page appears, select one of the options and click I Agree.
        • If you selected another institution, follow the prompts to proceed. 
        • If Google prompts you to do so, provide your user name and click Next. Provide your password and click Next
      • If you do not have institutional or Google credentials but you do have CSSI DCC legacy credentials, log in manually:
        1. Enter the email address and password you specified when you registered.

        2. Click Sign In

    After a successful login, the CSSI DCC portal home page (or the My Account page) appears. 

  4. Consider the following options:
    • If you need help, contact the Center for Strategic Initiatives (CSSI) Data Coordinating Center (or click the Contact Us link at the bottom of any DCC page).
    • If the My Account page appears (or if you want to request upload permission), complete your account information as described in Managing Your Account

      To reset your password, click Forgot Password? In the dialog box that appears, enter your email address to request a password reset email message. The system sends to the specified address an email notification with "CSSI DCC Portal Password Reset" as the subject line.

      Click Sign In. The CSSI DCC portal home page appears.

The system logs you off if it detects that you have not used the application for 30 minutes.
