EVS transition to virtual machines

STATUS:

  • Prod2 server up and running - completed tested
    • DATAQA started

    • Tomcat 8.5 reached EoL - needing new stacks for all tiers
      • Oracles OES8, Tomcat 10, Java 17 
        • Java 17 implemented
        • Others to follow once 17 on Pro
      • Options
        • Tomcat 9 and Java 17 installed on Dev
        • evs-jenkins working for NCItBrowser and lexevscts2
        • OES8 could come later
      • NCItermform installed on Dev - needs testing
    • Tomcat 9 installed on Dev.  
      • Recoding needed for NCIm

    Discussion about Java 17 migration and remediation

    There is an issue in Term Browser where several of the mappings show a null for the release. There is a choice: do a separate release to fix this or if we want to make it It will be fixed as part of the Java 17 release.

    DECIDED: Keep it as part of the Java 17 release (even if it means waiting longer)
