. From the HL7 web site, download the latest version of the RIM (Version 2.41 as of 6/15/2013). The download will be a zip file containing other zip files. Open the downloaded zip file and navigate to “d” zip file (that is, rim0241d.zip). The file containing the HL7 MIF Vocabulary (that is, “DEFN=UV=VO=1189-20121121.coremif”) is contained in the “d” zip file.

Installing HL7 MIF Vocabulary Formatted Terminologies LexEVS 6.1

Step	Action
1	Obtain a HL7 MIF Vocabulary formatted source file. Store the obtained source file to a local folder or directory location.
2	Load the source without options. Load in Linux/Unix environments: ./LoadMIFVocabulary.sh -in "file:///home/LargeStorage/ontologies/hl7MIFVocabulary/DEFN=UV=VO=1189-20121121.coremif" Load in Windows environments: LoadMIFVocabulary.bat -in "file:///home/LargeStorage/ontologies/hl7MIFVocabulary/DEFN=UV=VO=1189-20121121.coremif"
