After reviewing the existing OWL2 issues, Scott suggested that NCI reload the OWL2 files using the preference file and then re-test.

Lucene 6.4 performance

  • Update from Scott

Scott gave an overview of 6.4 Lucene performance and how it compares to 6.3.  After implementing the Lucene hit collector and providing a cache, the performance appears acceptable.

There is still some tuning that needs to done to increase the performance.

Comparing performance from 6.4 to 6.3, some areas are better and some are a bit slower.

Larry was suggesting that we used the hit collector (that retrieved all of the results up front) to ensure we got the best results. Larry was wondering if we still need to retrieve all of the results up front.

Scott mentioned that collecting all of the results up front takes a large amount of time.

Larry suggested that we investigate the possibility of only returning an initial amount of results (for example 1000).

Scott reviewed the results spreadsheet.

Scott noted that the tree extension calls take longer.

Larry mentioned that that NCI would like to test it out and see how it performs.

OBI/OWL2 Load Issues

  • Update from Gilberto

This was discussed during the prior meeting.

NCI acknowledged that they need to reload OWL2 with the preference file.

Gilberto will recheck his list of issues against this new load.

RRF Loads

    • Updates if needed

Scott was wondering or the SMQs, can these be summarized in LexEVS?

Brian suggested that what the loader is doing is fine.

He also suggested that in the browser, qualifiers - don't show on the browser.

Brian will come up with some examples to send out to the group to explore.

Scott will also send out his list of ten offenders that show this issue.

OWL2 Load Issues

  • Update from Gilberto

This issue is associated to OWL 2 Snippets.

We verified that content was reloaded using the preference file last week.

Rob put Gilberto's feedback into a spreadsheet and they are reviewing each item to determine if the issues they encounter are caused by the term browser or LexEVS.

Gilberto suggested adding two more columns to the spreadsheet to capture 1) required for LexEVS  API and 2) might expose in the term browser.

When this is done, Mayo will review.

RRF Loads

    • Updates if needed

No updates.

Larry suggested that Laurie should review the meta content to see if it is useful for her team.

Kim will investigate this issue and determine if this is a LexEVS issue.

CTS2 (lexevs-service) Security issue

  • Apache Commons Collections Version 3.2.1

Apache Commons Collections version 3.2.1 has a security issue.  This is fixed in version 3.2.2.

Scott suggested that we update for LexEVS 6.4 and consider if we should fix for the current 6.3 version.

Gilberto suggested that Mayo dev team will test this fix and then push it out the NCIP channel.

Larry suggested that we only need to update the latest version (6.4) of CTS2 service as older versions are not in production.

TODO:  Craig to create JIRA issue to track this.

LexEVS External Users

Gilberto mentioned someone asked him how NCIT concept codes map to RXNorm codes.

Gilberto will refer him to the Mayo Dev team if he hears back from him.

lexgrid.org xsd references

Our current xsd files are on the Mayo informatics server.

Craig asked if NCI was interested in hosting these schemas.

Gilberto/Larry suggested that it could go on there FTP site.  This site has an HTTP interface over it.

Craig mentioned that the lexgrid.org domain is currently owned by Mayo and would need to be given to NCI.

Tracy was asking if we could just use local xsd files.  This is possible, but not an ideal solution.

BioMarkers

Scott mentioned that there is a Mayo group (bioinformatics team) that is working with bioMarkers.  He suggested that the CTRP team may be interested in this work.

Larry would like to understand what the Mayo team working on and see if there is any mutual interest.

TODO: Scott will send an email to Larry and the Mayo team to introduce them and start the conversation.
