After you perform a search for data (as described in Searching for Data via the GUI), the search results page appears.click Manage tab > Registration Tasks (as described in Viewing Registration Status), the Registration Tasks page appears, listing all ongoing and completed requests for the transfer of collections or data files to DME. 

Similarly, after you click Manage tab > Download Tasks (as described in Viewing Download Status), the Download Tasks page appears, listing all ongoing and completed requests for the transfer of collections or data files from the DME archives for your DOC.

The following table describes the actions you can take on the search results page. Some of these actions are also available on the Dashboard, in the Browse page's details panel, on registration/download status pages, or when searching for users or groups. Registration Tasks page or Download Tasks page.  

To do this ...Do this ...
Save search criteriaClick Save Search Criteria. The Save Search Criteria dialog box appears. For details, refer to Saving a Search via the GUI. (This option is available only for data searches.)
Select the number of tasks per pageIn the Show Entries box, select a number. The minimum number of tasks per page is 100 and the maximum is 1,000.Edit search criteriaClick Edit Search Criteria. The Search page appears. For details, refer to Searching for Data via the GUI. (This option is available only for data searches.)
Sort the listClick any column header. To reverse the sort, click it again. To clear the sort, click it a third time. 
Filter the listClick a text box in below a column header. Type a value. The system displays only the results that contain the specified value. (In the Browse page's details panel, you can filter only the first column.)
Group rows based on values

Click the icon (Angle pointing down, similar to the letter v.Image Removed) on the right side of a column header. An option list appears. For further instructions, refer to the UI Grid Tutorial

Export collection or file search resultsClick the menu icon (menu iconImage Removed) to the right of all columns. An option list appears. For further instructions, refer to Exporting Search Results via the GUI. (This option is available only for data searches.) 
View details about an itema transfer request

Click the Task ID link

You can view details in the following lists:

  • In data search results, click the collection or file path. The system displays the details page for that collection or file. For details, refer to Viewing Metadata via the GUI.
  • In the list of saved searches on the Dashboard, click the search name. The system displays the search results for that saved search.
  • In the list of notifications on the Dashboard, click the notification ID. The system displays the details page for that notification.
  • In the list of download tasks, click the Task ID

    . The system displays the details page for that download or registration task. Refer to the following pages:

    (This option is not available for the Browse page's details panel or for user/group search results.)

    Edit an item

    You can view details in the following lists:

    • In the list of saved searches on the Dashboard, click Edit. The system displays the Search page with the search criteria for that saved search. For details, refer to Searching for Data via the GUI.
    • In the group search results, click Edit. The Update Group page appears. For details, refer to Updating a Group via the GUI.

    (This option is available only for saved searches and group search results.)

    Download a collection or file

    In the row for the collection or file of interest, click the download icon (The download icon.Image Removed). The Download page appears. For details, refer to Downloading Data via the GUI. (This option is available only for data searches.)

    Download multiple filesIn the selection column, select each file of interest. Then click the download icon above the list. The Download page appears. For details, refer to Downloading Data via the GUI. (This option is available only for data searches.)
    Download multiple collectionsIn the selection column, select each collection of interest. Then click the download icon above the list. The Download page appears. For details, refer to Downloading Data via the GUI. (This option is available only for data searches.)
    Create a link

    In the row for the file of interest, click the link icon (The link icon.Image Removed). The Create Link page appears. For details, refer to Creating a Link via the GUI. (This option is available only for data file searches.)

    Create multiple linksIn the selection column, select each source file and click the link icon above the list. The Create Link page appears. For details, refer to Creating a Link via the GUI. (This option is available only for data file searches.)
    Manage permissions for a collection or file

    In the row for the collection or file of interest, click the permission icon (The permissions icon.Image Removed). The permissions page for that collection or file appears. For details, refer to Managing Permissions Individually via the GUI. (This option is available only for data searches.)

    Manage permissions for multiple collections or files

    In the selection column, select the each collection or file of interest. Then click the permission icon above the list. The bulk permissions page appears. For details, refer to Managing Permissions in Bulk via the GUI. (This option is available only for data searches.)

    On the Download Tasks page, the following additional options are available:

    • Click a plus icon. If you click the plus icon for a row, that row expands, listing the transfer result, full path, and full error (if any). If you click the plus icon at the top of the table, all rows expand.
    • Click a Path link. The system displays the details page for that collection or data object. 
    Delete a saved searchIn the row for the saved search of interest, click Delete. A message appears, prompting you to confirm the deletion. Click OK. The system permanently deletes the saved search. (This option is available only for saved searches on the Dashboard.)
    Move to the first page of resultsIn search results for data files, collections, users, or groups, click the Page to first icon (The Page to first icon.Image Removed). In the registration/download status pages, click First. (This option is not available for saved searches or notifications on the Dashboard, or for the Browse page's details panel.)

    Move to the previous page of resultsIn search results for data files, collections, users, or groups, click the Page back icon (The Page back icon.Image Removed). In the registration/download status pages , click Previous. (This option is not available for saved searches or notifications on the Dashboard, or for the Browse page's details panel.)

    Move to the next page of results

    In search results for data files, collections, users, or groups, click the Page forward icon (The Page forward icon.Image Removed). In the registration/download status pages , click Next. (This option is not available for saved searches or notifications on the Dashboard, or for the Browse page's details panel.)

    Move to the last page of results

    In search results for data files, collections, users, or groups, click the Page to last icon (The Page to last icon.Image Removed). In the registration/download status pages , click Last. (This option is not available for saved searches or notifications on the Dashboard, or for the Browse page's details panel.)

    Select the number of items per pageIn the items per page box, select a number. (This option is available only in search results for data files, collections, users, or groups.) The minimum number of items per page is 10 and the maximum is 5,000.

    Click Last
