If your user account has the System Administrator role, and if one of the following conditions is true, you can permanently delete data group administrator or system administrator role, and depending on other factors, you can permanently delete a collection or file, and associated metadata,  using using the web application (GUI):

• If you have write permission on a particular collection, you can delete a file in that collection.
• If you have write permission on an empty collection, you can delete that collection. 

To delete a collection that has files in it, send a request to NCIDataVault@mail.nih.gov.
