If you are a model mapping expert, you can review the automatically created transformation rules and create new ones:
- Log in as described in Logging In.
...
- Select Manage > Manage Data > Model Mapping Maintenance. The corresponding page appears. (Logged in users can add pages like this to their favorites. For instructions, refer to Managing Favorites.)
- Click the edit icon for a model mapping row. A tree view and information panel appear.
- In the tree panel, select the 5.1 Configure Characteristics Mapping node. A grid appears with the following columns. Each mapping row has a unique combination of values in the Characteristic Group and Group Order columns. Columns with a caret mark (^) are informational.

The following table describes the Mapping Type values:
Value Description Instructions Semantic Equivalent The source and target characteristics have the same CDE. This is an automatically-entered rule. Semantic Similar The source and target characteristics have the same DEC. This is an automatically-entered rule. Not Mapped No mapping exists for source or target characteristics. This is an automatically-entered rule. Change these to either Ignore or Derived From. No CDE No CDE attached to characteristics. This is an automatically-entered rule. You can change these to either Ignore or Derived From. Derived From Target characteristic is derived using a function, defaulted to a value, or mapping row has ‘ENDIF’. This is a manually-entered rule. Ignore No transformation rule needed from source to target characteristics. No CDE No CDE attached to characteristics. Semantic Equivalent The source and target characteristics have the same CDE. Semantic Similar The source and target characteristics have the same DEC. Not Mapped None of the above. This is a manually-entered rule. - TBD (Table from Denise with 10 scenarios. How to map particular types of CDEs to each other.)
