If your user account has the Read , Write, or Own permission level on data in DME, you can download can download that data. This This page describes how to download one data file at a time to your file local system.
To download a data file:
- Log in as described in Logging In via the GUI. The Dashboard appears.
- Select a method:data for download, using one of the following options:
- Browse for the data file, as described in Browsing for Data via the GUI. In the detail panel, locate the row for the file you want to download.
- Search
- If you are familiar with the metadata, perform a search for the data file, as described in Searching for Data via the GUI (or run a saved search from the Dashboard). The Data File Search Results search results page appears. In Locate the row for the file you want to download.
- Initiate the download:
- In the search results page, click the download icon ( ).
- Otherwise, browse for the data file, as described in Browsing for Data via the GUI. Navigate to and right-click the data In the Browse page detail panel, in the row for the file you want to download. Click View Details. The Data File page appears. Click , click the download icon.

- Select Local SystemSelect Synchronous. In the Download file name File Name field, you can keep the existing file name or specify a new file name. The destination folder structure must already exist.
- Click Download. The system transfers the file based on your selections. Depending on your event subscriptionsresponds as follows:
- If the file is in deep archive, the system
- sends you an email notification
- when the
- file is available for download. This restoration process could take a number of hours. When an email message arrives, click the link in that message. The Download page appears again. Click Download again. The system prompts you to save the file.
- Otherwise, the system prompts you to save the file.
