If your user account has the Read , Write, or Own permission level on data in DME, you can download can download that data.  This This page describes how to download one data file at a time to your file local system. 

To download a data file:

  1. Log in as described in Logging In via the GUI. The Dashboard appears.
  2. Select a method:data for download, using one of the following options:
    • Browse for the data file, as described in Browsing for Data via the GUI. In the detail panel, locate the row for the file you want to download.
    • Search
    • If you are familiar with the metadata, perform a search for the data file, as described in Searching for Data via the GUI  (or run a saved search from the Dashboard). The Data File Search Results search results page appears. In  Locate the row for the file you want to download. 
  3. Initiate the download:
    • In the search results page, click the download icon (The download icon.). 
    • Otherwise, browse for the data file, as described in Browsing for Data via the GUI. In the details In the Browse page detail panel, in the row for the file you want to download, click the click the download icon.

  4. Select SynchronousSelect Local System. In the Download file name File Name field, you can keep the existing file name or specify a new file name. The destination folder structure must already exist.
  5. Click Download. The system transfers the file based on your selections. Depending on your event subscriptionsresponds as follows:
    • If the file is in deep archive, the system
    might send
    • sends you an email notification
    of
    • when the
    download status. For instructions on subscribing, refer to Subscribing to Notifications.When the system displays the task ID, consider clicking that link to visit the Download Task Details page and view the progress of the download. For instructions, refer to Viewing Download Status.
    • file is available for download. This restoration process could take a number of hours. When an email message arrives, click the link in that message. The Download page appears again. Click Download again. The system prompts you to save the file.
    • Otherwise, the system prompts you to save the file.
