Comments: Can we identify users by IP Address to determine the location from which downloads are being performed?

Response: That is tough since we do not have a mechanism in place currently for collecting this metrics.

  • Ongoing and Planned Activities:
    • Updating the CPTAC LSCC studies to include the supplementary data and publication details.

Comments: What time will the Publication be available within PDC for Henry to promote?

Response: Approximately 2 hours after the Publication goes live within CPTAC (10:30 – 11:00 AM)

  • Participated in the Data Standards Team (DST) presentation on their work of developing the first set of CRDC-wide metadata standards and strategy for common identifiers. Provided feedback on the initial set of 37 minimal metadata requirements.

Comments: Erika will share with DST and get back to us with questions/feedback.

  • Completed data submission tutorial videos review for public release.

Comments: Henry would like to get a preview of this video. Sudha will check with Anna M.

  • Researching best ways to incorporate CPTAC Clinical Outcome data in PDC as updates; working with Mathangi to finalize details.
  • Finalize Privacy policy.
  • Review NCI feedback regarding User Research Finding recommendations.
  • Addressing the issues reported by Broad Institute through Ana Robles, NCI
    • URL validity and folder organization
      • Developing a script to help users to reorganize the downloaded data into folders. Updating the documentation and also post on the PDC discussion forum.
      • Download URL validity is increased to 7 days
    • Planning for post migration activities:
      • Communication plan to inform Data Portal users about the data portal retirement
      • Redirection from current CPTAC Data Portal to PDC
      • Download volume on PDC might increase by about 10-20Tb per month
      • Supporting high speed data transfer with Aspera – Investigating various mechanisms

Comments: Discussions around PDC bench marking and time taken for downloads and to come up with alternate mechanisms to address speed. This will be part of User Research Prioritization deliverable.
