BACKGROUND

326,656 extracts and prefractionated samples were screened for inhibitory activity against four microbes in a High-Throughput Screen:

• Escherichia coli strain BW25113
• Escherichia coli strain JW5503-1 (tolC efflux deficient)
• Staphylococcus aureus strain ATCC 29213
• Candida albicans ATCC 90028
