EVS transition to virtual machines

STATUS:

  • Prod2 server up and running - being tested
    • Reported issues with value set exports - comparable to old Prod
    • Kim to check how mappings are retrieved
  • DECIDED: conversion first, then transition to VMs.  Likely end of March
  • URLs documented List of EVS URLs
  • Tomcat 8.5 reached EoL - needing new stacks for all tiers
    • Oracles OES8, Tomcat 10, Java 17
    • Met with Systems Tuesday, will check with them on progress no later than next Tuesday
    • Options
      • Go to Tomcat 9 first then carefully go to Tomcat 10
      • Tomcat 10 would require a Java upgrade, 9 can stay on Java 8
      • OES8 could come later
  •  Schedule followup meeting

Statistics Dashboard

OBJECTIVE 
Complete Migration of Statistics Dashboard from SumoLogic to DataDog by March 2024.  Hard end in April (ish) - possibly end of June

STATUS

  • S3 bucket has been created
    • Working on integration
    • Have an escalated ticket
  • Collectors installed on all servers except evs.nci.nih.gov 
  • Apache logs being pulled in for p805
    • evs.cancer.gov now working
    • Need all other logs configured - check to see if configured
      • EVS RestAPI
      • EVS Explore
      • Report Exporter
  • New Stage and Prod servers need to be requested
