Overview of AIM on ClearCanvas® Workstation

AIM on ClearCanvas® Workstation is the first project of its kind to propose and create a “standard” means of adding
information and knowledge to an image in a clinical environment so that in the future, image content can be easily and automatically searched. AIM provides a solution to the following challenges:

  • No agreed upon syntax for annotation and markup.
  • No agreed upon semantics to describe annotations.
  • No standard format (for example, DICOM, XML, HL7) for annotations and markup.

System requirements

For AIM ClearCanvas® workstation 3.0.4.2, the following software prerequisite must be installed: Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 with latest service pack.

AIM ClearCanvas® workstation 3.0.4.2 is known to work on the following 32-bit Operating Systems:

  • Windows XP SP3
  • Windows Vista SP1
  • Windows 7
  • Windows Server 2003 SP2
  • Windows Server 2008
