Yes, the TCIA Sites do their own de-identification any way they prefer, so long as it meets their IRB's approval.  They can optionally use MIPAV for this part of the process.  Submissions must conform to NDAR Data Dictionary. A custom Java Webstart application allows SFTP transfers.
