This page is a work in progress.
If your user account has the Group Administrator role, and if you have write permission on a collection, the following command allows you to permanently delete that collection, and associated metadata:
dm_delete_collection [-r] <collection-path>
The following table describes each parameter:
Parameter | Description |
---|---|
[-r] | Recursive delete. This will delete all the files and sub-collections under the specified collection recursively. If the –r option is not specified, the collection will be deleted only if it is not empty. |
<collection-path> | A path within DME. Specify the collection that you want to delete. |
For example, the following command deletes the /TEST_NO_HIER_Archive/downloads collection.
dm_delete_collection –r /TEST_NO_HIER_Archive/downloads
For instructions on performing a similar task in the GUI, refer to Deleting an Empty Collection via the GUI.
