After you search for images of interest and add them to your data basket, you can download them.
The most convenient method of downloading is by using the NBIA Data Retriever. You must install the NBIA Data Retriever before you begin downloading. You only have to install it once to use it in future downloading sessions.

The following new and updated features are available in NBIA Data Retriever 4.2, which was released in November 2021.
- When you download data using either the NBIA Data Retriever app or its command-line interface, you now have the option of selecting File > Checksum Verification prior to starting the download to verify the integrity of the downloaded files against the database.
