NBIA includes an initial iteration of a DICOM API. You can use a DICOM client such as K-PACS to access the API. Only public collections are available via the API. The API includes two methods, C-FIND and C-GET, with the following restrictions:

• C-FIND

  • Returns data at the study level 

  • Can search on PatientName, PatientID, StudyInstanceUID, and StudyDescription
  • Requires the entering of some level of search criteria
• C-MOVE
  
  
  • Retrieves images found from C-FIND based on StudyInstanceUID and SeriesInstanceUID
  • Assumes receiving SCP port of 104 the default DICOM port

The AE Title for a server running NBIA is always NBIA.
