The Osteoarthritis Initiative (OAI) is a multi-center, nine-year observational study of men and women, sponsored by the National Institutes of Health (part of the Department of Health & Human Services). The goals of the OAI are to help us better understand how to prevent and treat knee osteoarthritis, one of the most common causes of disability in adults.

The National Cancer Institute (NCI) Center for Biomedical Informatics and Information Technology (CBIIT) hosted instance of the NIAMS OAI Image Archive was retired on December 31st, 2015.

The images and data can be requested from OAIOnline.

You can contact the NCI CBIIT Application Support if you have any questions or concerns.
