  1. Consider where to install the Metadata Utility. Study and assay templates are not transferable to another computer. 
  2. Visit the Shared File List page. 
  3. From that page, download the appropriate file for your operating system:
    • Windows: metadata-designer-win32-x64
    • Mac: darwin-60-03-14-18.zip
  4. Extract all files from the zip file.
