Before removing items from your investigation, consider saving your work:

  • Consider saving the whole investigation. For instructions, refer to Saving an Investigation.
  • Consider saving a study or assay node as a template, so you can create new studies or assays based on that template. This feature is helpful when you need similar elements across multiple studies or assays. For instructions, refer to Saving a Node as a Template

The following table describes how to remove the investigation or various parts of the investigation. 

PartInstructions to Remove the Part
InvestigationIn the Node panel, right click the investigation node and select Remove investigation.
StudyIn the Node panel, right click the study node and select Remove study.
AssayIn the Node panel, right click the assay node and select Remove assay.
Element groupIn the Element panel, click the X to the right of the element group heading. (If the system requires the element group, the X is not available.)
ElementIn the Element panel, click the X to the right of the element field. (If the system requires the element, the X is not available.)
Process

In the Visualization panel, you have the following choices:

  • In process view, click Delete Process.
  • In table view, click the X next to the appropriate row.
Process stepIn the Visualization panel, in process view, click the X next to the process step icon.
