Todd Cox SYNOPSIS: Unified Communications (UC) is growing at a rapid rate, and the technology in use today can connect researchers from around the world in a matter of minutes. Using UC technology, researchers are able to collaborate using high-definition video to share images, integrate scientific equipment, and eliminate borders. BIO: K. Todd Cox is a Lead Computer Specialist in the Center for Biomedical Informatics and Information Technology (CBIIT) at the National Cancer Institute. For the past two years he has managed the Unified Communications project at NCI where he and his team have been working to find ways to use technology and new media to help researchers achieve the Institute's mission.
