If your user account has the Read permission level on a collection or data file in DME, you can locate that data using the web application (GUI) or Command Line Utilities (CLU).

  • If you want fine-grained control of the activity, or if you want to integrate it into your scientific workflow, consider using CLU.
  • Otherwise, consider using the GUI.

There is no documentation for finding dataObjects or Collections via CLI.

    1. Hi Anonymous. Thanks for the feedback. Currently, browse and search functionality are not available in the CLU. I'll add that statement to this wiki page and I'll also relay your feedback to NCIDataVault@mail.nih.gov, in case the team has anything further to add.

    2. Hi Anonymous. As of DME Release 1.18.0 on Friday 10/11, the team has added search functionality to the CLU, in the form of a new command, dm_query_dataobject. For details, refer to Searching for Data via the CLU
