Meeting Minutes (Not Verbatim)

DD- Can we discuss the content for the introduction?

CL- Historically limited by small set of immuno and flow and constrained by cost we now have the ability to do things we were unable to do previously. New tools, new genomes and better ways to extrapolate info from medical records. Let's generate awareness of end analyses that we can do so that when clinical trials are performed we exhaust all methods and store samples for post-hoc analysis.

HG- FFPE tissue is now supported for canine transcriptomics. We discussed having a comparative spin, not just what works in the dog. That aspect should be reiterated throughout the paper.

TH- Maybe we should write intro after all other sections have been written, otherwise the into will be prescriptive to other sections and there may be a disconnect. Maybe we can grant an additional 3 weeks to work on the intro.

PJ- Landscape description is a good direction for the intro, the landscape has changed and should inform a basis for all other sections.

CL- Accelerated pace of change is incredible. It was hard to argue before that the dog could be used as a comparative model. This transformation began about 7 years ago.

CL- I volunteer to do the references in EndNote and compile all references. Others should either put the reference in EndNote that will allow me to import easily or please just put the hyperlink to the pubmed location in a comment bubble and I can generate manually.

TH- EndNote has different styles, maybe we should all use the same

HG- When Cheryl compiles EndNote will reconcile everything to a single style.

TH- I am currently working on the "Request for Information" for the case studies for the next phase of ICDC. Shooting for a completion near the end of August.

Action items

  • Cheryl London will take the lead on compiling and reconciling references using EndNote.
