• You own the data. That is, you created the file. 

• The parent collection is not public. For information, refer to Managing Group Access.

  Guidance in 2020-09-24 meeting is to not mention delay between making a dataset non-public and the ability to delete a file in it. It's a unique case, controlled mostly internally.

• The data file is less than 90 days old.

To delete a file:

1. Log in, as described in Logging In. 
2. Perform a search, as described in Finding Data.
3. In the search results, click the link for the dataset of interest. The Dataset Details page appears. 
4. In the row for the file that you want to delete, click  click the delete icon. A confirmation message appears.
5. Click Yes.
