  1. Log in, as described in Logging In
  2. Search for the data of interest, as described in Finding Data
  3. In the search results, you have the following choices:
    • To download an entire asset, select the asset of interest. (If you have a user account with upload permission, you can select multiple assets.) Click Download Selected Assets
    • To download part of an asset, click the link for the asset of interest. The Asset Details page appears. Select one or more files for download:
      • To download one file, click the download file icon in that row.
      • To select all files, select the Batch Select checkbox. (To deselect one file, click the checkbox in that row.) Click Download Selected Files.

    The Download page appears.

  4. Select Google Drive
  5. Specify the following information:
    • Click Authorize MoDaC to Access Your Google Drive. A Google page appears. Follow the prompts. The MoDaC Download page reappears.
    • Specify the destination path:
      • To select information from Google Drive, click Select from Google Drive (Optional). Follow the prompts. Navigate to and select the folder in which you want to transfer the data. Click Select. The MoDaC Download page reappears.
      • To enter the information manually, specify the path to and the name of the destination folder. Do not begin the path with a slash. If the destination folder structure you specify does not already exist, MoDaC creates it.
    • If you are downloading a single file, you can keep the existing file name or specify a new file name.
  6. Click Download. The system transfers the data based on your selections.
  7. When the system displays the task ID, consider viewing the status of the download. For instructions, refer to Viewing Download or Upload Status

Google periodically invites users to strengthen the security of their Google accounts. If you follow the Google prompts to remove MoDaC, you can authorize access again the next time you try to download data to Google Drive in MoDaC.
