You can upload one or more files from a Globus endpoint to an asset in MoDaC. For prerequisites when using Globus with MoDaC, refer to Preparing to Use Globus

When you upload data, you become the owner of that data. (Ownership cannot be changed.) 

  1. Log in, as described in Logging In
  2. Click Upload in the header. The upload page appears.
  3. Navigate to the asset:
    1. Select an existing program or add a new one. 
    2. Select an existing study or add a new one. 
    3. Select an existing asset or add a new one.

    For instructions, refer to Adding a Collection.

  4. Click Upload Data. Select Transfer from Globus Endpoint > Select Files from Globus Endpoint. A Globus page appears. 
  5. In Globus, select an endpoint. Select the files that you want to upload. Click Submit. The upload page reappears with the Globus endpoint ID and path. (Depending on your selections in Globus, the upload page might also list the selected data files.) 
  6. Click Upload. The system transfers the data based on your selections. 
  7. When the system displays the task ID, consider viewing the status of the upload. For instructions, refer to Viewing Download or Upload Status
