  1. View the list of download tasks as described in Viewing Download Status. The Download Tasks page appears, listing all of your ongoing and completed requests for the transfer of collections or data files from DME.
  2. In the row for the download request of interest, click the task ID. The Collection Download or Data Object Download Task Details page appears.

    This page provides the following information about the download transfer. (Keep in mind the following points:
    • The timestamps on this page reflect a 24-hour clock.
    • Information about a data object list, collection, or collection list download request:Information about the overall download request:
    • Task ID (When viewing the download status details for a retry, you can click a link to view the status details of the previous download.
    • Transfer status can be:
      • In Progress
      • Staging In Progress
      • Download In Progress
      • Completed
      • Failed
    • Some fields appear on this page only under specific circumstances: 
      • Source path appears for collection only.
      • Bytes transferred appears )
      • Source path (for collection only)
      • Task Status
      • Destination Type
      • Globus Transfer Request ID (for Globus only)
      • Destination path and endpoint
      • Transfer status (In Progress, Completed, or Failed) 
      • Bytes transferred ( if download is in progress).
      • Transfer status percentage (appears for Globus or AWS S3, if staging or download is in progress).
      • The date and time the transfer request was created The date and time completed appears if the transfer request was completed (if completed).
      • Transfer speed in Bin B/s (if completed)
      • Information for each data file in the download request:
        • Source path 
        • Task ID
        • Transfer status (Staging In Progress, Download In Progress, Completed, or Failed)
        • Transfer status percentage (for Globus or AWS S3, if staging or download is in progress)
      Information about a data file download request:
      • Source path
      • Destination Type
      • Globus Transfer Request ID (for Globus only)
      • Transfer request ID
      • Transfer request type
      • Destination path and endpoint
      • Transfer status (Staging In Progress, Download In Progress, Completed, or Failed)
      • Transfer status percentage (for Globus or AWS S3, if in progress)
      • The date and time the transfer request was created 
      • The date and time the transfer request was completed (if completed)appears if the transfer completed.
  3. To cancel a download in progress, click the cancel icon (The cancel icon.), visible on the right or left side of the page. A message appears confirming the cancellation. 
  4. To view details about the downloaded data, click the path link. The details page appears for that data. For information, refer to Viewing Metadata via the GUI
