  1. Log in, as described in Logging In
  2. You have the following choices:
    • To edit the metadata of any collection:
      1. Click Upload in the header. The upload page appears.
      2. Navigate to and select the collection that you want to edit. Click the edit option. (For example, to edit an asset, select a program from the program list, select a study from the study list, select the asset from the asset list, and then select Edit Asset.) The User Metadata page appears with the collection name.
    • To edit the metadata of a collection that contains files:
      1. Perform a search, as described in Finding Data. In the search results, each entry lists the relevant collections (program, study, and asset). An edit icon appears next to each of your collections.
      2. Click the edit icon next to the collection of interest. The User Metadata page appears with the collection name.
  3. Specify the information for the collection:
    • To add a metadata attribute, click Add Metadata. A blank attribute row appears. Specify a unique attribute name. (Repeat for additional attributes.)
    • To delete a new attribute, or to clear the value field for an existing optional attribute, click the X. 
    • For a dataset: Specify whether you want it to be a reference dataset for model analysis. For details, refer to Adding a Reference Dataset.
    • For a model: Specify whether it is deployed in the MoDaC environment for model analysis. (In the Is Model Deployed field, select Yes or No.)
    • Specify a value for each required metadata attribute. (Keep in mind the following points: 
      • The character limit for each metadata value is 2700. 
      • The identifier attribute is read-only.
      ) If
      • If an attribute value begins with http or https, MoDaC displays it as a hyperlink in read-only fields.
  4. Click Update.
