  1. Log in, as described in Logging In
  2. Search for the data of interest, as described in Finding Data
  3. In the search results, you have the following choices:
    • To download part of an asset, click the link for the asset of interest. The Asset Details page appears. (If the asset has subfolders, navigate to the file of interest: Click each folder to open it. If the asset has prediction files that you want to download, click the Predictions tab.) Select one or more files for download:
      • To download one file, click the download file icon in that row.
      • To download one folder, click the download folder icon in that row.
      • To select all files at the asset level, select the Batch Select checkbox. (To deselect one file, click the checkbox in that row.) Click Download Selected Files.
    • To download an entire asset, select the checkbox for the asset of interest. (If you have a user account with upload permission, you can select multiple assets. Checkboxes are not available for large assets: 2 TB or larger.) Click Download Selected Assets

    The Download page appears, listing the selected file or files. (To deselect one file, click the checkbox in that row.)

  4. Select Google Cloud
  5. Specify the following information:
    • Click Authorize MoDaC to Access Your Google Cloud. A Google page appears. Follow the prompts. The MoDaC Download page reappears.
    • Specify the Google Cloud bucket name. 
    • If you are downloading one or more collections, specify the path to and the name of the destination folder. Do not begin the path with a slash. If the destination folder structure you specify does not already exist, MoDaC creates it.
    • If you are downloading a single file, you can keep the existing file name or specify a new file name. 
  6. Click Download. The system transfers the data based on your selections. 
  7. When the system displays the task ID, consider clicking that link to view the progress of the download. For instructions, refer to Viewing Status
