Download the DEC import template and populate it with information about the DECs that you want to import. (Start with a fresh template for each import.) The
Populate your copy of the template with information about the DECs that you want to import. The following table provides instructions for each column in the DEC import template:
Column Name Instructions Do Not Use TBD Batch UserTBD Required on each row. You can provide any text in this column. The system does not validate this column. Batch NameTBD Required on each row. Seq IDTBD Required on each row. Context NameTBD Each cell in this column has a drop-down list of all valid Contexts. Select a value from that list. Optional Specified DEC Long Name TBD Optional Specified DEC Short Name TBD OC Concepts TBD Prop Concepts TBD DEC CD NameTBD Each cell in this column has a drop-down list of all Standard Conceptual Domain Names. Select a value from that list. The system automatically populates the CD Public ID in the next column. CD Public IDTBD When you select a DEC CD Name in the previous column, the system automatically populates the CD Public ID in this column. Comments TBD As you populate your file, you keep in mind the following points:
- You may add additional columns to your file for taking/keeping notes after the last template column, but the column names must be unique.
You can use your Delete key to clear the contents of one or more individual cells, but do not delete entire rows or columns.
- Save the file as CSV.
- From the Manage menu, select Manage Data. The Manage Data page appears. Select DEC Import. The DEC Import page appears. (For instructions on adding this page to your favorites, refer to Managing Favorites.)
- From the Import menu, select Data Object Import.
- Import the file, as described in TBD.
