If the following criteria are all true, you can upload one or more files from an from an AWS S3 bucket to a dataset an asset in MoDaC: 

  • You have a MoDaC user account with upload permission. 
  • You are member of a group that has permission to edit that dataset asset (or you created that datasetasset). 
  • You have prepared You have read access to an AWS S3 bucket for use with MoDaC

When you upload data, you become the owner of that data. (Ownership cannot be changed.) 

  1. Log in, as described in Logging In

  2. Click Upload in the header. The upload page appears.

  3. Navigate to the dataset:
    1. Select an existing program or add a new one. 
    2. Select an existing study or add a new one. 
    3. Select an existing dataset or add a new one.

  4. Include Page

  6. Select Transfer from AWS S3 Bucket

    Click Upload Data. Select Transfer from S3

  7. Specify the following information: 

    • The name of the source S3 bucket.
    • The path to and the name of the folder in the source bucket. 
    • The AWS access key.
    • The AWS secret access key.
    • The region.
  8. Click Upload. The system transfers the data based on your selections. 

  9. When the system displays the task ID, consider

    viewing the status
