- If you are member of a group that has permission to edit an existing asset (or if you created an asset), you can add a subcollection to that asset.
When you create a collection, you become the owner of that collection. (Ownership cannot be changed.)

- Specify metadata permissions, as described in Managing Group Access While Creating a Collection.
- To add a metadata attribute, click the Add Metadata option. A blank attribute row appears. Specify a unique attribute name.
- If you do not want the public to have access to the data, clear the Is public access checkbox and specify one or more groups.
- Specify a value for each required metadata attribute.
