If the following criteria are all true, you can upload one or more files from Globus to a dataset Google Drive to an asset in MoDaC: 

• You have a MoDaC user account with upload permission. 
• You are member of a group that has permission to edit that dataset asset (or you created that dataset). You have read access to Globus. For information, refer to Preparing to Use Globusasset).

When you upload data, you become the owner of that data. (Ownership cannot be changed.) 

1. Log in, as described in Logging In. 

2. Click Upload in the header. The upload page appears.

3. Navigate to the dataset:
   1. Select an existing program or add a new one. 
   2. Select an existing study or add a new one. 
   3. Select an existing dataset or add a new one.

   For instructions, refer to Adding a Collection.

4. Click Upload Data. Select Transfer from Globus > Select Data from Globus Endpoint. A Globus page appears.

8. Select Transfer from Google Drive. Click Authorize MoDaC to Access Your Google Drive. If a Google page appears, follow the prompts. The MoDaC upload page reappears, indicating the successful generation of an access token. 

9. Click Select Files from Google Drive. The Select Files dialog box appears.

10. Navigate to and select the files

    In Globus, select an endpoint. Select the files or folders

    that you want to upload.

     Click Submit

     Click Select. The MoDaC upload page reappears

    with the Globus endpoint ID and path. (Depending on your selections in Globus, the upload page might also list the selected data files or folders.)

11. Click Upload. The system transfers the data based on your selections

    . (If you selected a folder, the system tries to upload all files in that folder.)

12. When the system displays the task ID, consider

Google periodically invites users to strengthen the security of their Google accounts. If you follow the Google prompts to remove MoDaC, you can authorize access again the next time you try to upload data from Google Drive in MoDaC.
