When you specify include criteria for bulk upload, you can specify either RegEx pattern or a simple pattern. 

  • With RegEx, the search pattern can be a simple character, a fixed string, or a complex expression containing special characters describing the pattern. The pattern defined by RegEx may match one time, several times, or not at all for a given string. For patterns and examples, refer to the following page:

    • The following table describes the special characters you can use: 

      CharactersDescription
      ?Matches any single character. EgFor example, "something?" collects any path that is named "something" plus any character.
      *Matches any characters up to the next forward slash (/). EgFor example, "*/*/something*" collects any path that has two directories, then a file or directory that starts with the name "something".
      **Matches any characters. EgFor example, "**/something/**" collects any path that contains a directory named "something".
    • The following table provides more examples:

      FR00?.bamMatches all files with name “FR00” and any one character and with extension “bam” in the source folder.
