When you specify criteria for bulk upload, you can specify either RegEx pattern or a simple pattern.
- With RegEx, the search pattern can be a simple character, a fixed string, or a complex expression containing special characters describing the pattern. The pattern defined by RegEx may match one time, several times, or not at all for a given string. For patterns and examples, refer to the following page:

The following table describes the special characters you can use:
Characters Description ? Matches any single character. Eg, "something?" collects any path that is named "something" plus any character. * Matches any characters up to the next slash. Eg, "*/*/something*" collects any path that has two directories, then a file or directory that starts with the name "something". ** Matches any characters. Eg, "**/something/**" collects any path that contains a directory named "something". The following table provides examples:
Example Description *.bam Matches all files with extension “bam” in the source folder FR00?.bam Matches all files with name “FR00” and any one character and with extension “bam” in the source folder **/*.bam Matches all files with extension “bam” in all folders and sub folders from the source location. images/**/*.jpg Matches all files with extension “jpg” in images folder and it’s all sub folders from the source location. **/sub*/*.txt Matches all files in sub folder(s) starts with “sub” and with extension “txt” from the source location.
