The caDSR II password rules follow NIH guidelines. These guidelines suggest users each user create passphrasesa passphrase, which are is more secure.  When creating When changing or updating resetting your caDSR II user account, keep in mind the following password rules:

• Minimum of Specify at least 15 characters
• No Maximum
• Case-sensitive
• Reset Cycle is 365 days
• Cannot reuse any of the last 10 passPhrases
Maximum of 6 attempts
• . There is no maximum. 
• Specify a different password than your previous ten passwords.
• Passwords are case-sensitive. That is, password is not the same as PASSWORD.
• Passwords expire in 365 days.
