To share the DME path for a file or collection:

  1. Log in as described in Logging In via the GUI. The Dashboard appears.
  2. Browse for the file or collection of interest, as described in in Browsing for Data via the GUI.
  3. In the Browse page, navigate to and right-click that file or collection. Click View Details. The Data File page or Collection page appears, listing the metadata for the data file or collection.
  4. Click the copy icon (The copy icon.). The system copies the path for the file or collection to your clipboard.
  5. Paste the path in a message for the intended recipient. 

If your user account has the Own permission level on a file or collection or a data file, you can manage permissions on that data, as described in Sharing Data via Managing Permissions.
