A user assigned the admin user role can log in and use the Admin menu to add , and update , and remove users from caNanoLab and reset user passwords.

  1. Click the Admin caNanoLab menu option.

  2. On the Manage Users page, click Create New User. This opens the Create User page.

  3. Fill in the user information. The Username and First and Last Name is required.
  4. Specify the User Role(s) to assign to the user:

    1. Researcher

    2. Curator

    3. Admin

    Create New User
  5. Click Save.
    A success message displays appears in red at the top of the page.

  1. On the Manage Users page, click Search Existing Users.The User Search page opens.
    In the Search Name box, you can enter the user's Username, or First, and/or Last Name.

  1. Search for the user.

  2. In the row of the user in the search results row, click Edit.

  1. Search for the user.
  2. In the row of the user in the search results row, click Reset Password.

    Resetting a User Password

  3. You cannot edit the Username. Enter the old password On the Update User page, enter the Old Password and add a new password.  New Password.
