Viewing a Characterization Summary

Sample characterizations describing distinctive characteristics or essential features of the sample determined through analytical methods, record information associated with sample synthesis and properties. Samples can be characterized in caNanoLab by Physico-chemical characteriistics, or by data derived under In vitro and In vivo conditionsWith read-only access, you can review a summary of characterization information on the All tab and annotations added to the sample under the physico-chemical, In Vitro, and In Vivo subcategory tabs.

To view a sample characterizations summary

1. Perform a search for the sample.
2. Click Edit in the search results row.
3. In the Navigation Tree on the left sidebar, click the Characterizations link. 

4. The All tab displays characterizations already added to the sampe sample by category. Additional tabs show annotations added to the sample under their corresponding Physical, In Vitro and In Vivo Characterization subcategories.

   title	Read only permissions?

   Based on your security permissions, you may have read-only access to characterizations and only be able to see a characterization summary and not be able to perform additional tasks.
