- You have a user account with upload permission.
- You are member of a group that has metadata permission on access to that dataset (or you created that dataset).
- You have read access to an AWS S3 bucket.

- Log in, as described in Logging In.
- Make sure your window is wide enough to display the Uploads option in the header.
- Click Uploads. The upload page appears.
- Navigate to the dataset:
- Select an existing program or add a new one.
- Select an existing study or add a new one.
- Select an existing dataset or add a new one.
For instructions, refer to Adding a Collection.
- Click Add Data. Select Transfer from S3.
- Specify the following information:
- The name of the source S3 bucket.
- The path to and the name of the folder in the source bucket.
- The AWS access key.
- The AWS secret access key.
- The region.
- Click Register. The system transfers the data based on your selections.
- When the system displays the task ID, consider copying that ID and consider viewing the status of the upload. For instructions, refer to Viewing Download or Upload Status.
