1. Log in, as described in Logging In. 
2. Perform a search, as described in Finding Data.
3. In the search results, click the link for the asset of interest. The Asset Details page appears. 
4. In the row of the file for which you want to edit metadata, click  click the edit icon. The User Metadata page appears with the filename.
5. Specify the information for the file:
   • To add a metadata attribute, click Add Metadata. A blank attribute row appears. Specify a unique attribute name. (Repeat for additional attributes. To delete an attribute, click the X.)
   • Specify a value for each required metadata attribute. 
6. Click Update. A message appears, confirming the update. 

To view the metadata (one hour after the update), on the Asset Details page, click the Metadata icon (Image Modified) next to the filename.
