- Log in, as described in Logging In.
- Perform a search, as described in Finding Data.
- In the search results, click the link for the asset of interest. The Asset Details page appears.
- In the row of the file for which you want to edit metadata, click the edit icon. The User Metadata page appears with the filename.
- Specify the information for the file:
- To add a metadata attribute, click Add Metadata. A blank attribute row appears. Specify a unique attribute name. (Repeat for additional attributes.)
- To delete a new attribute, click the X. To delete an existing optional attribute, clear the value field for that attribute.
- Specify a value for each required metadata attribute. If an attribute value begins with http or https, DME will display MoDaC displays it as a hyperlink in read-only fields.
- Click Update. A message appears, confirming the update.
